D-Link DCS-936L HD WiFi Camera
The D-Link DCS-936L is not a direct successor to the 935L, but it is the same price and packs better features and improved field of view. It is a no brainer when looking to purchase a camera in this price range.

Final Verdict

The D-Link DCS-936L retails for about $70 (Amazon) at the time of this review. This is well inline with other consumer grade IP cameras and the wider angle lens compared to older cameras makes us look favorably on the 936L. The optics are excellent, the video quality is good, and it captures audio. Consumer grade cameras have been steadily increasing the amount of features built into them and D-Link's application for smart devices allows you to control the majority of tasks as well as view live and recorded video (with a SD card) without fees.

We also like to recommend D-Link products since D-Link listens to feedback and constantly improves their products. The 936L wasn't specifically sent for review, but for feedback. Whatever we provided, D-Link acted upon it and that's the mark of a good company. Given more time, these cameras will cover pretty much every use case you can think of for a camera. We have no problem recommending this camera to anyone needing something inexpensive and easy to setup.

ASE Publishing would like to thank D-Link for making this review possible.
