"This is the first time that we are using mobile gaming to help us drive awareness and generate more foot traffic to downtown," said Carol Garsten, store owner at Nature Gallery. "We think residents and visitors of all ages will have fun and engage with businesses here in a way that's more personal, more local and more fun!"
Los Altos First Fridays are organized by Los Altos Forward, a group of residents, merchants and property owners dedicated to promoting business to downtown Los Altos. First Fridays are community-building events held during the evenings of the first Friday of the month in downtown for residents of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and neighboring communities.
"Skrownge encourages people to discover more of what's around them, to have fun and win real rewards," said Ted Fagenson, founder and CEO of Skrownge, "We are excited to work with the various Los Altos merchants for this pilot and help boost brick-and-mortar business."
