Allot Launches CellWise: Groundbreaking Mobile Broadband Traffic Management

CellWise Alleviates Cell Backhaul Congestion and Increases User Experience by Applying Policy Control on a per Cell Basis

BOSTON, March 16 -- Allot Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:ALLT), a leader in IP service optimization and revenue generation solutions based on Dynamic Actionable Recognition Technology (DART), announced today the launch of Allot CellWise, an innovative network service that is designed to enable mobile broadband operators to manage traffic down to the individual cell and alleviate backhaul congestion in real time by providing intelligence about their network at the cell level.  CellWise is intended to manage costs and reduce customer churn by providing the operator with precise network knowledge and control, and contribute to the overall user experience by ensuring fair use per cell.  CellWise is offered as an integrated service with Allot's intelligent policy control and charging solution included in the Allot Service Gateway platform.

"Cell congestion has traditionally been solved through heavy operator investment in the backhaul," explains Andrei Elefant, Allot Communication's Vice President of Product Management and Marketing.  "Intelligent cell traffic management from a centralized location is both a cost effective and time efficient solution that enables operators to truly alleviate congestion on a point by point basis."

CellWise, which works in conjunction with Allot's Subscriber and Application awareness is part of Allot's multi-layered approach to intelligent policy control and traffic management which together enable the operator to decide exactly how the network's resources will be allocated.  CellWise continuously maps subscribers to cells in real time.  Using dynamic policy enforcement rules, the operator can define rules that will be enforced when congestion occurs on a particular cell.

Allot Service Gateway Sigma (SG-Sigma) has 60Gbps of throughput and is the only DPI-based Service Gateway platform designed to meet current and future service provider requirements.  It facilitates the fast and easy introduction of new value-added network and subscriber services, including TierManager, Quota Manager, NetPolicy Provisioner MediaSwift, WebSafe and ServiceProtector - services designed to reduce network TCO, increase ARPU and enhance the user experience.

Allot CellWise is currently commercially available.
