Lake Placid's High Peaks Resort Offers Big Savings, Value with 'Facebook Photo Fanfare'

LAKE PLACID, N.Y., March 30 -- Lake Placid's High Peaks Resort, the newest resort in the heart of the Adirondacks, is featuring an exciting and value-packed "Facebook Photo Fanfare" exclusively for Facebook friends and fans.  The promotion is based on fun facts and trivia about Lake Placid, where both the 1932 and 1980 Olympics were held.

From April 1 to May 15, 2010, the Resort will post various photographs showcasing Lake Placid and the Adirondacks' myriad indoor and outdoor recreational activities on Facebook - and ask friends and fans to identify them.  As soon as the correct answer is posted, High Peaks will announce a special rate available via social media channels exclusively for the same number of minutes as the rate.

For example, one fun fact is that the age of the oldest participant in Lake Placid's 1932 Olympic Winter Games was "52," so for 52 minutes, friends and fans can book a room at High Peaks Resort for just $52, a tremendous savings off the normal guestroom rate.

"This year's Vancouver games rekindled the Olympic spirit of 30 years ago in Lake Placid," said John Dodson, General Manager of the High Peaks Resort.  "Now, we are proud to remain involved in the excitement of this region's history and the many activities for which it is known by offering High Peaks Resort's friends and fans a significant savings off standard room rates."

For additional details regarding Facebook Photo Fanfare or to sign up to be a High Peaks Resort Facebook fan, visit http://www.facebook.com/highpeaksresort.  Specials cannot be combined with any other promotions and are based on availability.  Certain blackout dates may apply.  Promotion stays available April 1 through May 15, 2010.
