Tech-Junkie has found out that you can't mod the GF4 to a Quadro.
The purpose of this article is to see if such a hardware hack actually does work from results gained from benchmarks. This article also looks at one more possible method of converting the GeForce4, and that is through a BIOS transplant from the Quadro4.
I wont keep you in suspense, neither the resistor mod nor the BIOS transplant transformed the GeForce4 Ti 4600 to a Quadro4 900XGL. For this article, a genuine Quadro4 900XGL and a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 were used. Both boards are reference NVIDIA boards from the previous article.
