2015 Brings Supercharged In-Earphones for Android Smartphones
STOCKHOLM, December 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
At Degauss Labs global headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, the company announced a new
in-ear headphone powered by a balanced armature driver technology paired with a dynamic
armature. This in-ear personal audio solution will fall under the NOIR brand, which also
stands for Hybrid solution (balanced + dynamic armatures). The model includes a 3-button
headset control with built-in microphone supporting all 3 major Smartphone O/S's from
Google, Apple and Microsoft.
The Degauss Labs NOIR line up are designed especially for listening to music through
your Smartphone. The NOIR's balanced driver are about a quarter the size of a 13.5mm
dynamic driver, but sport equivalent sensitivity. Added to that is a 10mm Dynamic driver
creating powerful bass added to the details created by the balanced driver. What this
brings to the table is high resolution and high-sensitivity audio along with high sound
isolation, and not to mention the obvious size and weight benefits that come along with
miniaturization.
Designed for hardcore music fans
Degauss Labs NOIR brings fresh styling in this nicely varied and distinctive product.
For this new series, we can thank designers who were not content to rest making just a
good sounding earphone, but also good looks. The NOIR creates a very clean and powerful
impression in both design and sound - and yes it is all black, mixing glossy and matte
black surfaces.
Twisted cable - less microphonic noise
The NOIR comes with a twisted tangle-less cable. The cable itself is designed to cut
out more of that microphonic noise often overheard by the cable moving against clothing.
Dual Driver technology with balanced armatures
NOIR earpieces contain two separate speakers - one to handle the high and mid
frequencies, and one to handle bass. Noir uses a Hybrid 2-way driver unit with extended
bass/ profound vocal sound. This separation creates a more rich and filled-out sound that
makes any kind of music sound better. This is the first Degauss Labs pairs a Dynamic
driver is paired with a Balanced armature, possible through cutting edge earphone
circuitry splitting the signal path appropriately.
Availability and Pricing
Degauss Labs representatives say that the NOIR lineup should reach U.S and Europe in
time for the new year start. As for pricing the NOIR will be going for $129 or 99EUR.
The Degauss Labs Headset Control Center available for free on Google Play gives your
headset additional functions such as auto starting your favorite music player or making up
to 5-clicks programmable on your headset microphone button. Works with most headsets.
The Degauss Labs NOIR uses both a balanced and a dynamic driver to produce its high
quality sound.
