New Yellow Pages App Feature Lets Shoppers Pinpoint Products in Stores
OREM, Utah, Dec. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Leading app developer Avantar is releasing today a feature in the Yellow Pages app that lets shoppers pinpoint locations of products, saving time hunting for purchases. The Product Search feature allows users to identify product location, search inventories of retailers and buy online.
"With millions of products and connections to thousands of retailers around the country, the Yellow Pages Product Search delivers the most accurate results for today's shoppers," said Russell Ochoa, Avantar director of marketing.
Designed for Apple and Android devices, the free app is connected to Walmart, Macy's, Home Depot, Toys "R" Us, RadioShack, Best Buy and hundreds more retailers. With millions of downloads, the Yellow Pages app averages over 10 million searches a month.
"With the holidays here, last-minute shopping can be stressful," said Ochoa. "Instead of waiting for shipping or calling each store to see if the product is in stock, users can check product availability on the app itself and then buy it at the store or online."
Additionally, the Yellow Pages app helps users find locations of businesses and retail stores while providing coupons, voice navigation and contact information.
Avantar specializes in mobile geo-location search and app development. An industry leader, Avantar owns and operates apps for Yellow Pages, Showtimes, White & Yellow Pages, One Tap Movies, AirYell and Munch. For more information about Avantar, visit: http://www.avantar.com.
