Smart Armor launches Smart Cube, a Bluetooth Operated Lock for Cabinets and Drawers
On September 27th, Smart Armor launched Smart Cube on Indiegogo and raised their $50,000 goal is just 3 days
PHOENIX, Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Smart Armor is pleased to announce Smart Cube, a Bluetooth controlled locking mechanism that secures a wide variety of cabinets and drawers. Smart Cube works in conjunction with both Android and iOS smart phones, and can be operated either manually or by proximity detection.
Smart Cube works by being secured to the inner wall of a drawer or cabinet. The locking connector is then attached to the door, and when the device is in locked position, the two parts stay latched together. Once the Smart Cube is instructed to unlock via a connected smartphone, the two parts release; thus allowing the door to open.
This simple yet elegant concept has been met with rave reviews from initial customers. Realizing a wide range of uses for the device, including securing alcohol, valuables, prescriptions, and firearms, donators helped Smart Armor raise an unprecedented $50,000 is 3 days on Indiegogo.
The corresponding app allows users to control multiple Smart Cubes in their home with one phone, and can share access to Smart Cubes with other users while dictating who can access what. The app can also be set to instruct certain Smart Cubes to unlock when a smartphone is in a set proximity, and relock once it is out of range.
Smart Cube features a 1-2 year battery life with battery indicators viewable from 2 different sides, and should the Smart Cube be tampered with, the user is immediately notified. The unit is also secured with 3M double sided tape which can withstand 100 pounds of force, and has optional mounting holes for bolting.
"Smart Cube was created by a team of renowned techies to bring you a device that it innovative, effective, and convenient," says the website.
