mobile app with smartwatch support for Android Wear and Samsung Gear S devices.
With more than 50 per cent of new users coming to eHarmony.co.uk through mobile
devices, this release is the latest example of the company's mobile-first product

Both the Samsung Gear S and Android Wear smartwatches will display enhanced
notifications that are synced with the user's phone. When a match sends a communication,
the member receives a push notification to their phone and an enhanced notification to
their smartwatch.
The enhanced notification includes the match's name, age, and location, as well as
their primary photo and personal message sent through eH Mail. Users are also informed
when they receive questions sent using the company's Guided Communication options. The
member can then simply open the eHarmony app on the connected Android device, and load
their match's profile.

Sony Unveils HDC-4300, World's First 4K System Camera with Three 4K Image Sensors

LAS VEGAS, April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony's next generation of HDC series camera technology provides the ability to use the high magnification wide zoom range lenses currently employed by HD 2/3-inch systems while maintaining an adequate depth of field to properly show all of the action in live event broadcasting.
The new HDC-4300 is the world's first camera to use three 2/3-inch 4K image sensors¹. It supports the same B4-mount lenses as well as the same control surfaces as Sony's industry leading HDC-2000 series cameras. The existing HDLA-1500 series, control and shading systems, viewfinders and master set-up units are all interchangeable between the HD and 4K systems. Directors and operators can keep their approach to live events -- including camera angles, zoom ranges and iris settings - while using familiar camera technology.

The new HDC-4300 is capable of 4K/HD operation, with 2x, 3x Super Slow Motion as standard, and higher speeds up to 8x available, to produce high-quality replays and specialty program effects.
The camera uses ultra-high-precision alignment technology to realize three 4K sensor on a new prism. This allows the support of the next-generation ITU-R BT.2020 broadcast standard's widened color space for future-proof masters or post production options for today's productions, shown on tomorrow's 4K services.
Direct attachment of B4 HD lenses
Standard large-format B4-mount lenses mount directly onto the HDC?4300. This gives broadcasters the flexibility needed for live sports broadcasts: 4K capabilities while maintaining their customary HD-lens operating styles.
SZC-4001 Software
Sony's SZC-4001 software package (sold separately) allows broadcasters to take advantage of 4K capabilities.
Super Slow Motion (up to 8x) at HD Resolution
The SZC-4002 software package (sold separately) enables the system to shoot full HD (1920 x 1080) at frame rates up to 479.52/400 fps, as well as 59.94/50, 119.88/100, and 179.82/150 fps. Users can save these high-frame-rate shots to Sony's PWS-4400 multiport 4K/HD Live Server.
HD/4K Live Production for Sports
The HDC-4300 accepts the same configurations as existing 4K live systems. A BPU-4000 baseband processor unit receives the camera signals via SMPTE fiber and connects to an HDCU-2000 or 2500 camera control unit. This provides power and full intercom, tally, and return capabilities.
Users can seamlessly blend an HDC-4300-based system with existing HDC Series camera systems. The HD signals from the HDC Series cameras and from the new camera system can be adjusted to match colorimetry.
The addition of other 4K products, such as the PWS-4400 multi-port 4K/HD Live server, a multi-format switcher capable of real-time 4K signal processing based on the MVS-8000X, and Sony's new BVM-X300 4K OLED or PMW-X300 4K LCD monitors create an end-to-end 4K live production solution.

The future of health is all about the individual. With the increasing prevalence of personal fitness trackers, connected medical devices, implantables and other sensors that collect real-time information, the average person is likely to generate more than one million gigabytes of health-related data in their lifetime (the equivalent of more than 300 million books).

Capturing Real-time Data to Optimize Personalized Decision-making
IBM is collaborating with Apple, Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic to create new health-based offerings that leverage information collected from personal health, medical and fitness devices. The results will be better insights, real-time feedback and recommendations to improve everything from personal health and wellness to acute and chronic care. These relationships are non-exclusive, and IBM anticipates many more companies to leverage the Watson Health Cloud platform.
IBM and Apple will expand their partnership with IBM Watson Health Cloud to provide a secure cloud platform and analytics for Apple's HealthKit and ResearchKit. This will support health data entered by customers in iOS apps and also arm medical researchers with a secure, open data storage solution with access to IBM's most sophisticated data analytics capabilities
Johnson & Johnson will collaborate with IBM to create intelligent coaching systems centered on preoperative and postoperative patient care, including joint replacement and spinal surgery. Solutions will be mobile-based, accessing the Watson Health Cloud and leveraging IBM Watson's cognitive capabilities. Johnson & Johnson will also look to launch new health apps targeting chronic conditions, which currently cost consumers as much as 80 percent of the $7 trillion global healthcare spend. Medtronic will leverage the Watson Health Cloud insights platform to collaborate with IBM around delivery of new highly-personalized care management solutions for people with diabetes. The solutions will receive and analyze patient information and data from various Medtronic devices including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors, and use this information to provide dynamic, personalized diabetes management strategies to patients and their providers.
Acquisitions Bolster Ability to Extract and Share Deep Insights
To complement its existing capabilities, IBM has reached agreement to acquire Cleveland-based Explorys and Dallas-based Phytel, two healthcare technology companies that are widely recognized for their leadership in applying Big Data and analytics to help improve the quality of health for individuals and large population groups.
A spin-off from the Cleveland Clinic in 2009, Explorys' secure cloud-computing platform is used by 26 major integrated healthcare systems to identify patterns in diseases, treatments and outcomes. It integrates more than 315 billion clinical, financial, and operational data elements, spanning 50 million unique patients, 360 hospitals, and more than 317,000 providers. Market intelligence firm IDC just named Explorys global leader in Healthcare Clinical and Financial Analysis.
Phytel develops and sells cloud-based services that help healthcare providers and care teams work together to ensure care is effective and coordinated in order to meet new healthcare quality requirements and reimbursement models. It was just named the leader in the population health management category by the 2014 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services.
The acquisitions bolster IBM's efforts to apply advanced analytics and cognitive computing to help primary care providers, large hospital systems and physician networks improve healthcare quality and effect healthier patient outcomes.

VoC products ease migration from analog to IP cameras using existing coaxial cable for the security and surveillance markets
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MegaChips Corporation today announced it will demonstrate IP Video VoC products at ISC West 2015, the largest security trade show in the U.S, in Las Vegas, April 15-17, at booth #4135. MegaChip's VoC products help device and camera makers in the security and surveillance industry simplify the transition to IP cameras from older generation analog cameras by enabling the reuse of existing coax cabling for the transmission of multiple HD streams. Available today, these products allow up to 20 IP cameras to be installed on a single cable with transmission distances of up to 2Km.

WebMD Brings Medication Reminders To Apple Watch(TM)
WebMD App Will Present Medication Imagery, Dosing, Schedule and Other Instructions via Notifications and Glances Right on the Wrist

(NASDAQ: WBMD), the leading source of health information, today announced plans to launch an enhanced version of its flagship mobile app with an experience built specifically for Apple Watch that includes an innovative new Medication Reminder feature designed to encourage medication compliance and help improve patient outcomes. WebMD's Apple Watch app will enable consumers to view daily medication schedules and instructions, as well as pill images with dosage and timing information, plus receive reminders when it's time to take a given medication - right on their Apple Watch.

How It Works: WebMD Medication Reminders
When users open the WebMD Apple Watch app, they'll see their daily medication schedule and information about whether or not they've taken a required dose. They will also be able to read medication instructions, such as whether to take a pill with food, and access additional in-depth information on their iPhone via Handoff.
Each "Medication Reminder" notification includes customizable pill images, as well as dosage and timing information. When users are prompted to take a given medication, they are asked to log one of four possible actions:

-- Skip the Medication
-- Snooze
-- Dismiss the Reminder
When a user chooses "Snooze," they will be reminded to take the medication again after 15 minutes. If a user chooses to "Dismiss" a given reminder, they will receive an alert at the time of the next scheduled dose.
WebMD's "Glance" delivers an entirely new way for users to receive information about their medication regimen. The Glance lets users know what time to take their next scheduled dose (e.g. 12:00 PM), or if that user is scheduled to take a dose within two hours or less, they will receive a message (e.g. "Next dose in 59 minutes") instead of the time. If the time for the last scheduled dose of the day has passed, the Glance is updated to show whether the final dose was "Taken", "Missed" or "Skipped". These innovations extend the functionality of WebMD's app for iPhone while delivering an innovative way to interact--right from your wrist.
