("NIVS" or the "Company") (NYSE Amex: NIV), a consumer electronics company that designs, manufactures and sells intelligent audio and visual products and mobile phones, today announced that on November 18, 2010 at a merchandising conference to be held at the Huizhou Crown Plaza Hotel they intend to launch a sales and marketing campaign for a new series in the NIVS branded mobile phone family. The phones, termed "Childhood" for the children's market, "Performance" for the pre-teen market, "Pride" for the teen-age market, "Elite" for business executives market and "Care" for the elderly market will be introduced at the conference. An additional phone intended for sale through carrier channels, "Outstanding," will also be introduced. The specific phones will feature unique functions and be designed for its intended targeted consumer.
Distributors, agents, partners and vendors from throughout China will attend the conference and sales targets of the new phone products will be established for 2011. With the exception of the "Outstanding" series the new mobile phone products will be marketed and sold through NIVS's own sales channels. TV commercials, traditional press advertisement and online promotion will support the marketing efforts.

At a keystroke, users can recompile their existing pricing model source code and take advantage of CUDA 3.0 for instant speed-ups in their derivatives pricing model runtimes.
New Models for Single-Tranche CDO Pricing and Commodity Futures
SciFinance has also been enhanced with new models for specific asset classes: single-tranche CDOs (STCDO) and commodity futures. The Stein stochastic recovery model for STCDO pricing has been implemented and yields results which are about 1,000 times faster than the previously used Krekel grid method. The enhanced STCDO serial code executes in about 606 seconds for an average of 5.05 millisecond per tranche-scenario (when running 10,000 scenarios on a Windows XP machine with 2.4GHz CPU). Even faster results are available with the GPU-enabled version of the STCDO code. The GPU-enabled code is about 165 times faster than the serial code, executing in about 3.67 seconds for an average of 30.6 microseconds per tranche-scenario on a single NVIDIA Tesla 20-series GPU. Thus, realistic portfolio risk computations for several thousand tranches and 50,000 scenarios could execute in O (~1hr).
A new market model for commodity futures with storage costs has been added to the SciFinance commodities example suite. Storage costs are characterized by the contango limits of the futures curve. A no-arbitrage argument is applied to determine the relation between different futures. The model is applied to price commodity derivatives of several kinds.

appraisal functionality of the Enterprise Knowledge Platform (EKP) learning
and performance management system.

The power of the challenge will be unveiled as students use their creativity to help address critical global environmental issues. Shout grew out of a pilot program launched by Microsoft and TakingITGlobal at the Partners in Learning Regional Innovative Education Forum in Singapore earlier this year.
The pilot program, DeforestACTION, connected students across countries including the Philippines, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Australia. Students are combining fundraising efforts, working on collaborative projects to build awareness, and developing social action campaigns to support the protection of rainforests in the Asia Pacific region. They even helped create a public service announcement that is playing on national television in Sri Lanka, and are working with a major motion picture production company in Australia to expose the problem of deforestation in a 3-D movie to be released in cinemas worldwide. The first global student challenge in the Shout program will focus on DeforestACTION.
"My sixth-grade class has not only been learning how palm oil production is directly linked to the destruction of the rain forests in Indonesia and Malaysia, but they have been collaborating with classes around the world to teach other kids, reach out to their community and even petition their governments to stop deforestation," said Australian elementary school teacher Emmanuelle Blake. "Our kids are learning how they can work together to make a real difference, and technology is breaking down borders to help them."
Shout will combine action with science to provide a very real learning experience for students around the world. Educators attending the Worldwide Innovative Education Forum in Cape Town yesterday saw this in action at two local schools. Smithsonian researchers demonstrated how they use stainless steel bands to measure the growth of trees over time and to determine how trees respond to changes in climate. The schools -- St. Cyprian's and Hout Bay High School-- will be the first in the world to participate in this global scientific research project. Teachers and school leaders attending the forum received free tree-banding kits and will also contribute to this research. In January, the Shout partnership will issue a global student challenge to engage hundreds of schools around the world in tree-banding experiments.

clear and process OTC derivatives on behalf of their house and clients

The product is Calypso's response to the challenges that
clearing members face in quickly adapting to the new central counterparty
(CCP) infrastructure brought on by the global regulatory push for central
clearing of all standard OTC derivative contracts. The Calypso OTC Clearing
Service provides support for all trade lifecycle events of a centrally
cleared transaction including:
- Connectivity to clearing houses for trades and EOD market
data and balances
- Reconciliation tool for validating data provided by each
clearing house
- Functions and methodology to call or replicate clearing
house margins
- Tools to create clearing member specific, margining rules

- Full books and records functionality for OTC client clearing
