New Module Increases Accuracy and Bandwidth for High-Channel-Count Strain, Load, and Pressure Measurement Systems
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- National Instruments (NASDAQ:NATI) today announced the NI PXIe-4331, the latest in the NI SC Express family of high-performance data acquisition (DAQ) modules with built-in signal conditioning. The DAQ device is a simultaneous high-speed bridge input module that provides signal conditioning for dynamic measurements from strain, pressure, torque and load sensors. The NI PXIe-4331 increases the speed of bridge-based measurements and, with PXI Express, provides 250 MB/s of dedicated bandwidth per device to give engineers the freedom to increase channel count without compromising sampling rates or data throughput.
The NI PXIe-4331 features eight channels with 24-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) per channel and 102.4 kS/s per channel sampling rate. To improve accuracy and reject noise, the module offers antialiasing and digital filters per channel. Additionally, the module includes an independent programmable 0.625 to 10 V excitation voltage on each channel for flexibility and fault protection. official European sales launch of the XS35 series. There are in total eleven
versions of the new model available, which all boast a compact format of just
38 mm in width, high connectivity and a completely passive (fanless) cooling
system.
As the smallest-ever Mini-PC from Shuttle (25.2 x 3.85 x 16.2 [cm, DWH])
the XS35 offers particularly low energy consumption. The series is based on
efficient technologies and uses the Intel Atom D510 dual-core processor (2x
1.66 GHz), SO-DIMM memory, 2.5 inch hard disks and slim-line drives. Since no
fans are used at all, any models work virtually silently even under heavy
load. Using no fans also means less maintenance is required.
Shuttle's XS35 series is offered in a number of very different variants.

LSI Now Shipping Next-Generation 6Gb/s SAS RAID-on-Chip IC Delivering Industry's Highest Server RAID Performance
Dual-core 6Gb/s SAS ROC more than doubles the IOPS performance of previous generation, enabling users to realize the full performance benefits of solid-state drives without sacrificing enterprise-class reliability
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM -- LSI Corporation (NYSE:LSI) today announced it is shipping to OEM customers a new 6Gb/s SAS RAID-on-Chip (ROC) IC that more than doubles the RAID 5 random input/output operations per second (IOPS) compared to the previous-generation product. The LSISAS2208 dual-core SAS ROC is designed to optimize the use of solid-state drives (SSDs) in today's server platforms without having to make trade-offs between performance and reliability. The product also is designed for easy migration to future server platforms based on the forthcoming PCI Express® 3.0 specification.

The eight-port LSISAS2208 ROC delivers performance levels up to 400,000 random IOPS in RAID 5, 6 and 10 configurations. It is designed to double the IOPS per dollar for SSDs in application environments such as Microsoft Exchange Server, databases, Web serving and business intelligence.

The LSISAS2208 integrates a high-performance dual-core 800 MHz PowerPC processor and makes use of LSI MegaRAID® technology that has been optimized for dual-core operation. Performance is further enhanced by combining a 72-bit DDR3-1333 SDRAM interface and specialized hardware acceleration engines with an advanced architecture featuring multiple 500MHz, 128-bit point-to-point internal data paths.
