Panasonic's Compact Stereo Systems With Internet Radio Control Deliver Exceptional Sound Quality From iPod®/iPhone®
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic today announced the introduction of four new sleek, compact stereo systems, two of which play Internet radio and boast a remarkable Bluetooth function and Bluetooth Re-Master technology to deliver superb sound quality from an iPod touch® or iPhone®*.
Panasonic's new models SC-HC55, SC-HC05, SC-HC35 and SC-HC25 are equipped with advanced proprietary audio reproduction technologies to produce a level of sound performance to meet the needs of discerning music lovers. Digital connection of an iPod/iPhone allows the compact stereo systems to process music signals in their original form, thus delivering sound that is faithful to the original for enhanced enjoyment of downloaded music.
The top two models, SC-HC55 and SC-HC05, boast wireless music streaming and Internet radio control. Music lovers and talk radio enthusiasts can enjoy the hundreds of stations offered by Internet Radio and use the system's convenient features to search for stations and program their favorites by simply installing the vTuner** application onto an iPhone or iPod touch.
The SC-HC55 and SC-HC05 are equipped with Bluetooth functionality, enabling the further expansion of listening options by the ability to receive audio transmission and play wirelessly from an iPod touch/iPhone/iPad(TM) or compatible mobile phone in one's hand, without docking. The SC-HC55 and SC-HC05 are also equipped with Bluetooth Re-Master circuitry, which compensates for audio signals that are lost during Bluetooth wireless transmission, thus further enhancing the quality of digital music.
The award-winning SC-HC55, recipient of this year's Innovations Award for Design & Engineering, boasts a Hands Free function, which allows a conversation on the iPhone to be conducted using the system's speakers and built-in microphone, while it is docked.
Designed to meet the needs of iPod users who want to enjoy their favorite songs with high quality sound at home, the SC-HC55 and SC-HC05 employ advanced proprietary Pure Direct Sound System digital signal processing to reduce distortion and deliver an exceptionally pure, clear sound that rivals the quality of larger hi-fi systems and brings out the best in any musical genre. The distortion that is commonly generated by the scattered reflection of sounds from the body surface is dramatically reduced by digital signal processing (DSP) correction to reproduce pure and clear sound.
Thanks to their sleek, ultra slim design, the new compact stereos can be set up in places where conventional stereo systems will not fit. The SC-HC55 and SC-HC35 can also be placed on the wall with an included wall mount bracket. The SC-HC55 sports a motorized, Touch-Free Sensor door which is equipped with a motion sensor, enabling it to open and close by simply passing a hand over it.
With the exception of the SC-HC05, all of the new compact stereo systems are equipped with a CD player and AM/FM radio. The top models are designed with a rigid bamboo fiber material in the speaker cones to bring faithful sound vibration to the speaker drive. A dual passive radiator system employs passive radiators inside the main unit, positioned on both the left and right boxes to cancel out unwanted cabinet vibration and deliver dynamic bass sounds with minimal distortion.

Panasonic Unveils New 3MOS HD Camcorders For Professional-Level Video Shooting In 3D and 2D
New Full-HD Panasonic Camcorders feature 35mm Wide-Angle*(1) Leica Lens, Manual Controls with a 3MOS Sensor that Enables Enhanced Technologies for Superb Image Quality
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic today introduced three new Full-High Definition (HD) 3MOS camcorders to its 2011 line, the HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900 and HDC-SD800. The new full-HD camcorders feature 1920 x 1080 resolution with 1080/60p recording to create crisp, detailed videos, and can also shoot 3D videos when used with Panasonic's optional 3D Conversion Lens (VW-CLT1). Incorporating Panasonic's 3MOS system - an advanced technology used in professional-level equipment- the new camcorders record bright, low-noise videos, even in low lighting. Other top-of-the-line features include a manual ring (TM900/HS900 only) for increased creativity, a 20x zoom and an intuitive 3.5" touch-screen LCD on the TM900 and HS900.
"We expect that the new Full-HD 3MOS camcorders will be our best yet, with image quality that rivals professional video equipment and further advancements on last year's award-winning predecessors," said Chris Rice, Senior Product Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. "The full-HD camcorders not only have that added wow-factor - with 3D video shooting capability - but consumers can also capture amazing 2D videos, easily with our larger, more intuitive touch-screen LCDs."
With the 3D conversion lens, users can take video recording to the next level and record 3D images with Panasonic's new line of 3MOS camcorders. Once recorded, consumers can play back the 3D images or video on a VIERA 3DTV*(2), a compatible 3D TV*(3), or through an AVCHD-compatible player/recorder, such as Panasonic's Blu-ray Disc(TM) player*(4).
The HDC-TM900 and HDC-HS900 feature 3.5" LCDs, while the HDC-SD800 features a 3.0" LCD. Not only do the models include wide screens, they are now easier to use with advanced touch operation that allows for extremely smooth shooting and playback, with new touch operation functions including:
-- Touch Zoom - Swiftly zoom in or out by finger movement.
-- Touch Shutter - Automatically focus and take a photo by touching the
subject*(5) on the screen.
All three models can record to SDXC/SDHC/SD Memory Cards, while the HDC-TM900 also has 32GB*(6) of internal memory and the HDC-HS900 has a 220GB hard disk drive for additional memory storage.
At the heart of Panasonic's advanced processing system is the high-sensitivity 3MOS sensor with 7.59 million effective motion image pixels (2.53 megapixels x 3). The 3MOS sensor separates light received through the lens into the three primary colors - red, green and blue - processing each independently for professional-like color quality, detail and gradation.
The Panasonic HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900 and HDC-SD800 camcorders also feature the large diameter (46mm) F1.5 Leica Dicomar Lens which produces brighter images and helps suppress ghosts and flare, while also minimizing distortion and degradation of contrast and resolution. In addition, its 35mm wide-angle*(1) capability makes it ideal for many different shooting situations, such as self-portraits and group photos indoors, and landscape shots outdoors.
The new models also feature the Crystal Engine PRO, which instantly processes the large amount of data that goes into full-HD quality for extremely clear, crisp motion images. The improved Crystal Engine PRO increases sensitivity and reduces noise by 45 percent compared to Panasonic's conventional models, resulting in brighter images with minimal noise when shooting under low-light conditions. Intelligent Resolution technology ensures sharp, beautifully colored motion images, while Intelligent Zoom enables high-powered 20x zooming, correcting the image degradation that occurs in ordinary digital zooming.
Other features of the HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900 and HDC-SD800 include:
-- HYBRID OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) - Helps correct blurring due to
hand and arm shake by detecting the vertical or horizontal wrist
movements, but also the subtle blurring that occurs when the subject is
moving.
-- iA (Intelligent Auto) with Face Recognition - Automatically selects the
most suitable shooting mode at the press of a button, including Face
Recognition, which finds the faces of registered people (up to six faces
can be registered) and optimizes the focus and exposure and tracks the
subject as it moves anywhere within the LCD frame.
-- Eco-Mode*(7) -Automatically turns off the power when the camcorder is
not operated for five minutes, reducing wasteful energy use and saving
battery power.
-- 5.1-Channel Surround Sound System (HDC-TM900/HDC-HS900) - Uses five
microphones so when sounds recorded from front, right, left and back are
played on a 5.1-channel home theater system, viewers are surrounded by
crisp, detailed sound.
Pricing and availability for the Panasonic HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900 and HDC-SD800 camcorders will be announced 30 days prior to shipping date. All models will be available in black. For more information, please visit http://www.panasonic.com/ces.

Panasonic Introduces Ultra-Slim LUMIX FP-Series Digital Cameras With Large Touch-Control LCD
LUMIX FP7 and LUMIX FP5 - With a Folded Optics Design, Mirror Finish* and Advanced Features like HD Video - are the Ultimate Digital Camera Choices for Style and Performance
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic today introduced two ultra-slim LUMIX models to its 2011 line, perfect for consumers seeking a fashionable camera with loads of advanced photo and video features. The LUMIX DMC-FP7 (16.1 megapixel) and LUMIX DMC-FP5 (14.1 megapixel) maintain their slim profiles by incorporating an ultra-thin 4x optical zoom lens** with folded optics. Complete with a sleek mirror finish on the LUMIX FP7 and a matte finish on the FP5, both cameras have high-performing features that complement the design, such as 720p High Definition (HD) video recording, large touch-control LCDs and easy-to-use settings like Intelligent Auto (iA).
"Panasonic's LUMIX FP-Series is perfect for the style-conscious consumer who cares about the look of the digital camera as much as the stunning images it captures," said David Briganti, Senior Product Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. "Panasonic is committed to incorporating user-friendly features that make taking high-quality photos easy. For example, by incorporating the popular iA setting, allowing users to have confidence that the right setting is engaged, without having to change it themselves. And we are always adding creative, interesting options like the new Beauty Retouch mode on the LUMIX FP7 which takes advantage of the popular and easy-to-use touch-control operation to retouch faces in photographs."
The LUMIX FP7 takes Panasonic's touch-control LCD to the next level with a new 3.5-inch 16:9 LCD that offers not only a larger view of images, but also increased usability. The LUMIX FP5 features a 3.0-inch 3:2 LCD and both models include Smart Touch Screens allowing users to enable Touch Auto Focus (AF), Touch Zoom, Touch Shutter and Intelligent Scene Selector simply by touching the screen. All menu setting options are now available with touch control and in playback mode users can drag the image across the screen with their finger to browse the collection of photos, as though it is a page in a book. Additionally, the LUMIX FP7 features three new modes that let users get creative by manually (with the touch of a finger) editing their photos. These new modes include:
-- Beauty Retouch mode allows users to retouch faces
-- Esthetic mode creates effects on faces such as clearing skin texture and
whitening teeth
-- Make-up mode gives color options such as foundation, eye-shadow or
coloring for the lips and cheeks
The LUMIX FP7 and LUMIX FP5 are stylish, yet still full with substance thanks to the Venus Engine VI image processor with Intelligent Resolution technology. The digital cameras are fast, with shutter release lag times as short as 0.006(FP7) / 0.005 (FP5) per second and by adding Sonic Speed AF users can capture high quality spur-of-the-moment images even faster.
Using a folded optics design allows the LUMIX FP7 and FP5 to remain ultra-thin, yet still have a high-quality 4x optical zoom. In addition, the new zoom button makes the LUMIX cameras look even more sleek. Also taking advantage of Intelligent Resolution, the Intelligent Zoom function on the LUMIX FP7 and LUMIX FP5 allows the powerful 4x optical zoom to increase to 5x equivalent without compromising picture quality.
Panasonic's popular iA mode, a suite of technologies that engage automatically - with no setting changes needed by the user - makes it easy for anyone to take beautiful photos. The LUMIX FP7 and LUMIX FP5 feature two new iA functions - AF Tracking and Intelligent Exposure. AF Tracking locks onto any subject and keeps it in focus even if it moves, while the Intelligent Exposure optimizes the exposure for each part of an image, preventing blocked shadows and blown highlights and helping ensure that gradation and details are reproduced beautifully. The automatic backlight compensation function activates whenever the camera detects the subject is in backlight. Other features of Panasonic iA include:
-- MEGA OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) - Reduces blurry photos due to
hand-shake
-- Intelligent ISO Control - Reduces blur when the subject is moving
-- Face Detection - Ensures registered faces are captured in focus with
appropriate exposure and unwanted red eyes are digitally corrected
-- Intelligent Scene Selector - Selects the best option from: Macro,
Portrait, Scenery, Night Portrait, Night Scenery and Sunset
-- Dedicated iA button - Lets users engage easily with one click
Other features of the LUMIX FP7 and LUMIX FP5 include:
-- LUMIX Image Uploader - Share images via Facebook and video via YouTube
-- Intelligent LCD - Detects the lighting conditions and controls the
brightness level in 11 finely graduated steps, to display the most
appropriate setting
-- 70MB of built-in memory

Panasonic's 2011 VIERA Plasma HDTV Model Line-Up Builds Upon Its Award Winning 2010 Line
2011 Models Focus on Enhancing the User's TV Experience With Expanded IPTV Features and Improved Picture Quality
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic, the industry and technology leader in High Definition Plasma televisions, introduced seven new models as part of the 2011 line of VIERA HDTV Plasmas at the Consumer Electronics Show. Building upon its reputation for producing award-winning Plasma HDTVs, the 2011 VIERA Plasma lineup features expanded IPTV functionality, improved picture quality and superior motion picture resolution.
Year after year, Panasonic has been dedicated to bringing new picture improving technologies to HDTVs and the 2011 line-up continues that philosophy. The educated consumer now demands blacker blacks, faster response time and the billions of colors that Panasonic Plasmas deliver. Panasonic has been recognized for having the deepest blacks in the industry and the 2011 models feature the Neo Plasma technologies, providing a new Infinite Black Filter with a higher efficiency panel that generates the best balance of black and white under brighter environments. The new panel further reduces reflections and creates sharper pictures with higher contrast in brighter environments. In addition, a new panel structure and pre-discharge control technology contribute to realize an increased native contrast level. In addition, all the models include DLNA connections for easy link-up to other DLNA equipped products.
Panasonic's company wide commitment to sustainability and producing products that are ecologically sound is evidenced in the 100,000 hour life span of the Plasma HDTVs and the lack of lead or mercury in the panels. Improved power efficiency has been addressed with, among other technology advances, new and improved phosphor mixtures and more efficient electronics.
"Panasonic is fully committed to providing the ultimate entertainment experience for the consumer. Having said that, picture quality is one of, if not the most important attributes one looks for in a TV and Panasonic, according to the majority of critics, delivers superior quality and a terrific picture, regardless of one's choice of programming," said Henry Hauser, Vice President, Panasonic, Merchandising, Display Group. "Panasonic is continually striving to surpass the previous year's commercial and critical success, as well as listening to what consumers are saying. That is precisely why Panasonic's 2011 Plasma models will once again prove to be the industry leader."
Panasonic's proprietary IPTV functionality is expanded and enhanced for 2011, with a new identifying name, VIERA Connect(TM)(1), reflecting the transition from the walled garden approach of VIERA Cast to the interactive and inter-connected philosophy behind the new connected TV service. VIERA Cast's popular sites, including Netflix(TM), Amazon VOD(TM), You Tube(TM), Pandora, Twitter, Bloomberg News, a weather channel and Skype(TM) continue on VIERA Connect and are joined by a host of exciting features and apps, all optimized for the best possible user experience. Incorporated in VIERA Connect are such apps as CinemaNow, Hulu Plus, Napster, Facebook and sports sites including MLB.TV, MLS Matchday Live, NBA Game Time, and NHL Game Center(2).
Panasonic's 2011 HDTV line-up further expands its IPTV offerings with introduction of Easy IPTV, a service that provides Panasonic's IPTV functionality to select VIERA HDTVs by adding six of the most popular movie, music and social networking sites to the TV's feature sets. Netflix, Amazon VOD, CinemaNow , Napster, Pandora and Facebook will provide the consumer with additional viewing options.
With ease of use as a major focus, VIERA Connect's interface implements quick keyword input (like a cell phone) to help retrieve favorite content faster and easier. An optional Skype Communication camera allows the consumer to communicate with friends and family via a large TV, rather than on a small computer or smart phone screen.
Panasonic HDTVs also employ VIERA Link(TM) - a technology that utilizes HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) and allows a consumer to operate all VIERA Link compatible A/V components using only the TV's remote control and helpful on-screen menus. In addition to operating a Viera HDTV, video source (Blu-ray and DVD player) and home theater receiver, Viera Link permits operation of a network camera, ideal for monitoring of a home/nursery. A Viera Link capable Network Camera can be connected to a VIERA HDTV and controlled via Viera Link remote. Users can then watch their child, pet and/or property by installing the camera and networking to the Viera HDTV via Ethernet cable.
The VIERA Plasma X3 series introduces three 720p models - TC-P50X3, a 50-inch class HDTV (49.9" measured diagonally); TC-P46X3, a 46-inch class HDTV (46" measured diagonally); TC-P42X3, a 42-inch class HDTV(41.6" measured diagonally). The X3 series offers a feature pack that includes Easy IPTV, VIERA Image Viewer(TM) for easy access to photos and movies recorded on an SD Memory Card; DLNA compatibility; Viera Link, a technology that utilizes HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) to operate all VIERA Link compatible A/V components; two USB ports and two HDMI connections. The 2011 line continues the implementation of 600Hz Sub-field Drive, to insure more accurate color.
The VIERA Plasma S30 series introduces four VIERA 1080p models - TC-P60S30, a 60-inch class HDTV (60.1" measured diagonally); TC-P50S30, a 50-inch class HDTV (49.9" measured diagonally); TC-P46S30, a 46-inch class HDTV (46" measured diagonally) and TC-P42S30, a 42-inch class (41.6" measured diagonally). The aforementioned VIERA HDTVs feature fast switching phosphors, for artifact-free motion resolution; 600Hz Sub-field drive; three HDMI connections; two USB ports; Easy IPTV; VIERA Image Viewer for easy access to photos and movies recorded on an SD Memory Card; DLNA; VIERA Link and a Game Mode.

Panasonic Debuts Slim Bar Audio System With Wireless Subwoofer and 3D Pass Through
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Panasonic today unveiled a new slim bar home theater speaker system, model SC-HTB520 which neatly mounts on a wall by a TV and offers an easy to install, stylish alternative to a home theater sound system. The SC-HTB520 supports Stream Out for 3D image signals and Audio Return Channel, making it easy to configure a FULL HD 3D home theater system by combining it with a 3D Blu-ray Disc(TM) player and 3D VIERA TV. The SC-HTB520 ideally matches large panel displays 42-inches and above and includes a separate, wireless Down Firing subwoofer.
The front of the SC-HTB520 features a black stainless mesh material with a luxurious mirror finish and a special coating that resists dust and fingerprints. A unique design concept boosts the ambience of the SC-HTB520's high-quality sounds by making the speaker units partially visible through the mesh, so listeners can almost visualize the sound.
The SC-HTB520 system delivers dialog that is crisp and clear. This is made possible by the Clear-Mode Dialog, which makes the sound seem like it is coming from the center of the TV display. With more precise linking of the picture and the sound, the result is clean, pure sound for dialog voices on video and vocals on music. Virtual surround technology also reproduces surround sounds from the front speakers that seem to wrap around the listening position. And dynamic, deep bass sounds are achieved by the Down Firing Subwoofer. The subwoofer is equipped with a wireless system, so there is no need to connect it to the main unit by cables. Lack of wiring keeps the room interior uncluttered and enables a simple and flexible layout.
Connection and installation could not be easier, thanks to the system's compatibility with ARC* (Audio Return Channel), which allows receiving audio signals from the TV. Simply place it by the television or wall mount for a custom installation (via supplied wall mounts) and connect it with just one HDMI cable.
The SC-HTB520 will be available in April 2011.
* An ARC-compatible TV is required.

Panasonic's New Blu-ray Home Theater Systems Bring a New Dimension to Home Entertainment
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic, a leader in Full HD 3D technology, today unveiled new Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc(TM) home theater systems which employ advanced technologies to reproduce immersive 3D with superb picture quality, cinema-like surround sound and boast built-in WiFi, Universal Dock for iPod®/iPhone® and Skype(TM)(1) compatibility and 3D Effect Controller.
The new models, SC-BTT770, SC-BTT370 and SC-BTT270 deliver advanced sound quality that complements the dynamic 3D images. Based on the concept of reproducing an ideal cinema-like surround sound environment, Panasonic's proprietary technology, called Cinema Surround Plus, compensates for the lack of a surround effect to provide natural smooth surround sound and offers an enhanced surround effect from above and around.
Equipped with Panasonic's renowned Full HD 3D Playback, the new systems not only deliver powerful 3D images with dramatic effects, enhanced depth, luster and texture, but allow the user to tailor the image display as desired. The 3D Effect Controller adjusts the amount of the depth effect for more expansive images and enables the viewer to enjoy 3D movies with exactly the preferred level of 3D effects.
For space-saving elegance, the sleek, ultra slim main component measures only a mere 1.5 inches high. The systems are designed to ideally match a flat panel display. They are easy to install, and with the rear wireless speakers included on the SC-BTT770 and available on the SC-BTT370, there is no need for unsightly wires across the room.
The top two models SC-BTT770 and SC-BTT370 feature VIERA CAST(TM) with Skype(TM) a new function which allows users to connect with friends and family around the world on any compatible TV. And when they are not home, a convenient Auto Answering Video Message feature answers incoming calls and records video voicemail messages.
Models SC-BTT770 and SC-BTT370 include a down-firing subwoofer, which achieves powerful bass by releasing the sound downward from the speaker unit and port and utilizes the sound reflected from the floor. These models are equipped with one HDMI output and two HDMI inputs with Standby Pass through for HD and 3D gaming and set-top box connections. Since they feature a Standby Pass Through function, signals from the connected devices can pass through the unit even when the home theater system is turned off.
All of the home theater systems feature Audio Return Channel (ARC*), which makes it possible to receive audio signals from the TV, on top of the preexisting HDMI function of sending audio/video signals to the TV with just one cable. This feature simplifies connection by eliminating the audio cable connection between the TV audio output and the main unit's audio input.
All of the new systems feature a Universal Dock for iPod/iPhone** which employs a digital connection to minimize sound degradation. This lets the user play music and video downloads and enjoy high quality sound from an iPod/iPhone.
The new models boast improved easy-to-use features, such as an internal wireless LAN system so IP content, such as VIERA CAST(2) and BD-Live, can be enjoyed without having a LAN cable*** connection. VIERA CAST has been further enhanced with CinemaNow and Vudu, allowing viewers to stream movies. Other content can also be accessed from the special VIERA CAST screen to check weather, stocks and other information.
(1) Skype video calling requires access to a broadband Internet connection as well as a Skype-compatible camera available from Panasonic, sold separately, to make video calls.
(2) Not all VIERA CAST features are available on both VIERA Connect-enabled VIERA® HDTVs and VIERA CAST-enabled Blu-ray Disc(TM) Players due to specific technology requirements required to activate certain applications. Specific app availabilities and compatibilities will be announced at a later date. Access to a broadband Internet connection is required to access VIERA CAST features. There is no fee to use the VIERA CAST functionality however some VIERA CAST services such as Netflix and Amazon VOD have a separate fee structure.
* An ARC compatible TV is required.

The Panasonic HDC-SD90 and HDC-TM90 are capable of shooting full-HD video with 1080/60p recording and can even record 3D video with the optional Panasonic 3D Conversion lens (VW-CLT1).
"Panasonic's new line of HD camcorders offers something for everyone, from the ultra-lightweight and affordable SD40 and TM40, to the wide-angle lens and telephoto zoom of the HS80 and TM80, all the way up to the to the 3D recording capabilities of the TM90 and SD90," said Chris Rice, Senior Product Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. "These seven HD camcorders shoot exceptionally-well in low-light and, with Panasonic's image stabilization, allow even novice shooters to capture stunning video."
Leading off the line of 1MOS camcorders are the Panasonic HDC-TM90 and HDC-SD90, featuring a compact body and the ability to record video in 3D with the addition of Panasonic's 3D Conversion Lens. Once recorded, consumers can play back the 3D images or video on a VIERA® 3DTV*(1), a compatible 3D TV*(2), or through an AVCHD-compatible player/recorder, such as Panasonic's Blu-ray Disc(TM) player*(3). While 3D video recording is possible, the Panasonic HDC-TM90 and HDC-SD90 also record crisp true-to-life video in full-HD 2D video. The camcorders feature a 28mm*(4) wide-angle lens with versatility to record indoors or in tight spaces, while at the same time capturing stunning images of wide landscapes or large groups into the frame.
For extra shooting power, the Panasonic HDC-TM90 and HDC-SD90 feature ultra-telephoto 40x Intelligent Zoom which uses Panasonic's Crystal Engine PRO, a high-resolution processor that helps to record extremely clear, crisp videos even in low-lighting. Also powered by the Crystal Engine Pro, the HDC-TM80 and HDC-HS80 offer exceptional zooming power with ultra-telephoto 42x Intelligent Zoom. The new models include a 33.7mm*(5) wide-angle lens for versatile shooting at a variety of distances.

All seven models can record to SDXC/SDHC/SD Memory Cards, while the HDC-TM90 and HDC-TM80 and HDC-TM50 also have 16GB*(6) of internal memory and the HDC-HS80 has a 120GB hard disk drive for additional memory storage.

finger.

on the screen*(7).
Other features of the Panasonic HDC-TM90, HDC-SD90, HDC-TM80, HDC-SD80 and HDC-HS80 include:
-- New HYBRID OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) - Helps reduce blur due to
arm and hand shake with a lens in the optical system and a sensor in the
electrical system. Detects blurring caused not only by vertical or
horizontal wrist movements, but also the subtle blurring that occurs
when the entire arm moves vertically or horizontally. Also achieves
powerful correction during high-powered zooming, even on the move.
-- iA (Intelligent Auto) with Face Recognition - Selects the most suitable
shooting mode at the press of a button, including Face Recognition,
which finds the faces of registered people (up to six faces) and
optimizes the focus and exposure for them. The camcorder continues to
track this subject as the person moves anywhere within the frame.
-- Eco-Mode*(8) - Automatically turns off the power when the camcorder is
not operated for five minutes, reducing wasteful energy use and saving
battery power.

New networking capabilities are among the highlight features of the new 2011 Blu-ray Disc player lineup. All four players allow users to customize their own home screen using your favorite photo or wallpaper. Simply insert an SD card into the Blu-ray Disc player to transfer over the image. The BDT310 and BDT210 feature a built-in Wi-Fi System, while the BDT110 requires an optional wireless adaptor for local area network connections.

The Magellan® RoadMate® GPS Line Adds Backup Camera Accessibility, Hands-Free Calling, Exclusive AAA Partnership
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Magellan, a pioneering GPS brand, today announced new features being added to its successful RoadMate® product lineup of car Navigation units that will enhance driver safety and enable easier viewing.
The new Magellan RoadMate 9055 GPS is a feature-rich navigation device designed for easy viewing that further expands Magellan's successful 7-inch car Navigation product line. The RoadMate 9055 is the first of a select group of Magellan GPS units that will support a new, proprietary Magellan back-up camera scheduled for release this spring. The unit's large, high-definition screen transmits a live feed from the vehicle's bumper when the car is placed in reverse gear. Children and pets behind the vehicle car are now visible and can be avoided, helping make the road safer for both the driver and pedestrians.
Designed with drivers of RVs, SUVs, minivans and other larger-cab vehicles in mind, the RoadMate 9055 GPS also includes three features most requested by consumers: a high-definition WVGA screen, Bluetooth connectivity to mobile devices, and a lifetime traffic subscription that alerts drivers of congestion ahead and calculates alternative routes.
The RoadMate 9055 GPS's large, 7-inch screen offers the user the same viewing area as most in-dash car navigation units for a crisp, clear view of the screen. Bluetooth connectivity enables hands-free operation of mobile phones, helping drivers to communicate safely while driving. Magellan's Free, Lifetime Traffic Feature, feeds continual updates of traffic conditions in traffic-congested North American cities directly to the GPS unit. The driver is provided with an accurate estimate of travel times factoring in distance and traffic, as well as suggestions for less-congested alternative routes.
Why RoadMate Is The Ideal Road Mate
Preloaded with maps of the 50 United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and more than 6 million points of interest locations, all Magellan RoadMate models features exclusive rich content from the most trusted name in driver safety, AAA. The built-in AAA TourBook guide with Diamond ratings and descriptions for US and Canada provides highly detailed information about hotels, restaurants local attractions, and a guide to merchants offering member discounts. A special AAA roadside assistance feature (for AAA members only) gives you your exact location with a touch of a button so you can get the roadside help you need quickly and easily.
The RoadMate 9055 includes Highway Lane Assist which guides the driver into the proper lane for upcoming lane changes and exits, as well as Magellan's proprietary OneTouch user interface providing users instant access to favorite addresses, searches and destinations. The GPS unit also features text-to-speech technology, which provides spoken street names while navigating; and a convenient Video-In jack, which can be used to connect an iPod®, back-up camera or other video source to watch live video on the bright 7-inch display (cable not included).
"We developed our large-screen navigation devices to help people get more information they need at a quick glance. Between our high-definition widescreens, our hands-free calling features, the quality of the AAA TourBook content and assurance of roadside assistance for its members, and the forthcoming back-up camera accessory, our RoadMate devices not only navigate drivers to their destinations, they make each journey safer," said Mike Wagner, Senior Director of Product Marketing, Magellan.
The RoadMate 9055 comes with a specialized heavy-duty Extension Mount that brings the GPS navigator up close and personal. With three points of articulation and an extra 12 inches of extension, no cab is too large to maneuver the display within easy reach. The specialized multi-surface mounting pad will also stick directly to vinyl dashboards, safely securing the device and avoiding the long reach to the windshield. Drivers in smaller vehicles will appreciate the ability to bring the Magellan RoadMate 9055 GPS below dash level so that windshield space is not taken up.
The Magellan RoadMate 9055 GPS is now available at Amazon. It includes the extension mount and cradle, vehicle power adapter, and USB data cord. The unit retails at a MSRP for $299.99.
